As a Cybersecurity Specialist at Ferretti Search, you will be instrumental in fortifying our digital infrastructure. Your role will involve applying your knowledge of security protocols, network defense strategies, and the latest cyber threats to create, implement, and uphold effective security measures. Your duties will encompass a variety of tasks, from carefully setting up firewalls and intrusion detection systems to discovering and remedying vulnerabilities within our networks. You will collaborate with various IT departments to ensure the integrity and safety of our information and systems organization-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current security tools and pinpoint areas for enhancement. Formulate a strategy to boost Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities, address security deficiencies, and foster innovation.
  • Devise and execute systems to identify sensitive information and security breaches, ensuring adherence to security regulations and protocols.
  • Impart your knowledge and skills by guiding and developing team members into proficient DLP experts.
  • Review and enhance security tools and systems to thwart cyber threats and safeguard against potential vulnerabilities.
  • Work alongside information system managers to grasp their security requirements and apply best practices in line with our information security framework.
  • Assist in monitoring and reviewing information system activities to guarantee compliance with security policies and provide regular updates to management.
  • Engage with stakeholders throughout the organization to deliver DLP solutions that effectively meet their operational needs.
  • Conduct security risk evaluations on both new and existing systems, identify weaknesses, and propose suitable security measures.
  • Coordinate efforts with loss prevention teams and liaise with legal and law enforcement as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of DLP functionalities, including data identification, classification, tagging, and prevention.
  • Understand DLP applications for data at rest, in use, and in transit.
  • Have hands-on experience with various DLP tools, such as Symantec/McAfee DLP, Tanium, Proofpoint/Mimecast/Netskope, Google Workspace, CASB, and data management solutions.
  • Proficient in at least one operating system (Windows, Linux, AIX, macOS, iSeries) and security principles.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration for effective management of server and workstation environments.
  • Comfortable with at least one scripting or programming language (PowerShell, shell scripting, Python, etc.).
  • Experience in integrating different systems using APIs.
  • Familiarity with DLP integration with network devices such as firewalls, UTMs, and proxies.
  • Knowledgeable about network segmentation and security zones for data protection based on classification.
  • Have a solid understanding of authentication protocols like Kerberos, SAML, and OAuth.
  • Willingness to share your expertise and assist colleagues in grasping technical and security-related topics.
