Role Overview
The Solutions Consultant role represents a modern evolution of traditional Sales Engineering, focusing on how we best support our clients in navigating their environments, offering solution guidance, and ensuring they realize the value of their investments with Palo Alto Networks.
Your Responsibilities
As a Solutions Consultant, you will:
- Provide technical leadership and expertise throughout the customer's security transformation journey.
- Define technical solutions that align with key business objectives, ensuring value realization from investments.
- Promote our industry leadership in on-premises, cloud, and security operations services.
- Meet and exceed sales targets by developing and executing strategic technical account plans.
- Conduct discovery sessions to identify and articulate the technical, operational, and commercial needs of prospects and clients.
- Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, influencing stakeholders through effective presentations and tailored demos.
- Lead technical validation efforts to secure wins in assigned opportunities.
- Coordinate resources to ensure a unified approach that showcases a cohesive strategy.
- Understand the competitive landscape to effectively differentiate our offerings.
- Continuously enhance your technical and professional skills, contributing to the success of our customers and the Solutions Consultant community.
Your Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A solid understanding of data networking and modern application design, including cloud architectures.
- Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and drive new business initiatives.
- The ability to influence key stakeholders, ideally with a background in pre-sales roles.
- Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and workshops.
- Familiarity with selling, designing, implementing, or managing solutions such as Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and SOC Transformation Technologies.
- Experience in complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and product solutions.
- Proficiency in English.
