Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead business loan underwriters, fostering a supportive environment for their growth and addressing various credit management and lending challenges.
  • Oversee consumer loan underwriters in loan organization, documentation, and servicing.
  • Act as the administrator for loan underwriting software.
  • Provide performance feedback to senior management regarding team members.
  • Promote the bank's services by engaging with community organizations and events.
  • Evaluate and process loan applications, making decisions within established guidelines.
  • Review loan requests from loan officers, potentially advising senior leadership and committees.
  • Maintain regular communication with branch lending personnel.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training as required.
  • Complete all assigned training programs, including Digital University.
Additional Duties:
  • Keep employee information updated in the Disaster Recovery Plan for direct reports.
  • Review and approve employee time cards, monitor leave usage, and manage performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
Work Environment:
Work is conducted indoors in a climate-controlled setting with moderate background noise. The role may involve exposure to potentially hazardous situations.
  • Reports To: Chief Credit Officer
  • Supervises: Business Loan Underwriters, Consumer Loan Underwriters, and Credit Analysts
Equipment Used:
Computer, Fax Machine, Copier, Printer, Telephone, General Office Supplies

Physical Requirements:
Sitting/Mobility: Primarily desk work, with some movement around the office.

Communication: Effective communication with colleagues and clients in various formats.

Vision: Ability to use a computer and interpret printed materials.

Lifting/Carrying: Ability to handle files and supplies.

Stooping/Kneeling: Accessing files and supplies as needed.

Reaching/Handling: Inputting information into systems and managing paperwork.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years in business lending and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with nCino lending platform is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must be bondable.
