Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor business loan underwriters, fostering their growth and addressing credit administration and relationship management challenges.
- Oversee consumer lenders/underwriters in loan organization, documentation, and servicing.
- Act as the administrator for loan underwriting software.
- Provide performance feedback to senior management regarding team members.
- Promote the bank’s services by engaging with community organizations and events.
- Evaluate and process loan applications, making decisions within established parameters.
- Review loan requests from loan officers as per policy, potentially advising senior leadership and committees.
- Maintain regular communication with branch lending personnel.
- Participate in required training and educational opportunities.
- Complete all assigned training courses, including Digital University.
Additional Duties:
- Keep employee information updated in the Disaster Recovery Plan for direct reports.
- Review and approve employee timecards, monitor leave usage, and manage performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Execute other tasks as assigned.
Work Environment:
Work is conducted indoors in a climate-controlled setting with moderate noise levels. There may be exposure to certain risks (e.g., robbery).
- Reports To: Chief Credit Officer
- Supervises: Business Loan Underwriters, Consumer Loan Underwriters, and Credit Analysts
Equipment Utilized:
Computer, Fax Machine, Copier, Printer, Typewriter, Email, Telephone, Voice Mail, General Office Supplies, Automobile
Physical Requirements:
Sitting/Mobility: Approximately 90% of the time is spent at a desk, with 10% spent moving around.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and external agencies in writing, in person, and over the phone.
Vision: Proficient use of a computer screen and interpretation of printed materials.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to transport files and supplies.
Stooping/Kneeling: Ability to access files and supplies.
Reaching/Handling: Ability to input information into computer systems and manage paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years in business lending and supervisory roles preferred.
- Experience with nCino lending platform is a plus.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be bondable.
