Job Summary

The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teen Leader to join our team. As a Teen Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality programs for middle and high school students, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Development: Collaborate with the Regional Teen Director to design and implement programs that meet the needs of middle and high school students, aligning with the YMCA's mission and values.
  2. Program Implementation: Facilitate daily clubs and activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, and promoting the YMCA's character traits of responsibility, caring, honesty, and respect.
  3. Recruitment and Retention: Work with the management team to coordinate service delivery and ensure a youth-friendly environment, maintaining and monitoring enrollment and participation in Y programs.
  4. Training and Development: Ensure that teens participate in all required training, special events, and community collaborations, and support the Regional Teen Program Director with the recruitment of teens in the community.
  5. Communication: Communicate program information, problems, and concerns as they occur, and maintain open communication with the management team and Regional Teen Program Director.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: 21+ years old, with youth programming experience required, and teen programming specific experience preferred.
  2. Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and other program-specific certifications required upon or after hire.
