Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teen Program Coordinator to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Boston. As a key member of our youth development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality programs for middle and high school students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement programs that meet the needs of middle and high school students, ensuring compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
  2. Work with the Teen Director to set goals and review program standards, fostering creativity and awareness among participants.
  3. Coordinate with the management team to ensure a youth-friendly and safe environment, maintaining and monitoring enrollment and participation in Y programs.
  4. Facilitate daily clubs based on teen interest, following Safe for You, Safe for Us guidelines.
  5. Ensure teens participate in required training, special events, and community collaborations.
  6. Support the Regional Teen Program Director with recruitment efforts and attend meetings as requested.
  7. Maintain program areas and supplies, meeting reporting and tracking requirements for collaborative programs.
  8. Communicate program information, problems, and concerns as they occur, adhering to established YMCA policies and procedures.
  9. Remain current in required and voluntary training to promote Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
Requirements
  1. 21+ years old
  2. Youth programming experience required, with teen programming experience preferred.
  3. CPR, First Aid, and other program-specific certifications required upon or after hire.
