Key Responsibilities:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing technical support and service for customers utilizing Evergreen filling machines. This role requires residing in the Minnesota area. The technician will be trained to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain this equipment, while also educating customer personnel on optimal operating and maintenance practices to ensure efficient packing outputs.
  • Execute service activities as assigned to guarantee timely customer support and safety, while achieving budgeted productivity and utilization goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with central scheduling, management, other departments, and customers.
  • Act as the equipment service technician, advising EPE service management and/or engineering of any issues with current or modified equipment designs.
  • Facilitate learning experiences for both customers and EPE plant personnel regarding machine operation.
  • Continuously develop skills and competencies to meet both business and personal growth objectives.
  • Adhere to corporate business and team objectives related to compliance, information protection, safety, quality, ethical behavior, and learning.
  • Perform duties safely in environments beyond the technician's control.
  • Ensure optimal performance of paper packing equipment to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems (single and three-phase).
  • Knowledgeable in 4-20mA circuits/devices.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and utilize meters for troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and experience in the input/output verification process.
  • Understanding of pneumatic systems (valves, air cylinders, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience with Pactiv Evergreen packaging equipment or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the dairy or juice industries and/or capital equipment maintenance.
