Job Overview

Objective

The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct repairs and refurbishments on concrete pumps and heavy machinery with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose equipment issues to determine necessary repairs for concrete pumps and heavy machinery.
  • Identify and resolve hydraulic and electrical malfunctions, executing the required repairs.
  • Adhere to standard assembly protocols for reworking and repairing manufactured machinery.
  • Disassemble, measure, adjust, and install components to reassemble units in accordance with engineering specifications, bills of materials, and established work instructions.
  • Connect hydraulic lines and fill with oil in preparation for operational testing.
  • Conduct tests on assembled components or products to verify functionality and compliance with quality standards.
  • Follow prescribed safety and environmental regulations.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines, including safe work practices and procedures.
  • Ensure tools and the work area are maintained in optimal condition.
  • Perform maintenance and service repairs as required.
  • May undertake other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Engage in repetitive tasks while navigating around, under, and over equipment for 95% of the workday.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions for 5% of the time.
  • Experience with heavy machinery is essential.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: Formal training beyond high school, such as certification or an associate's degree in automotive repair.
  • Preferred: 2-4 years of experience with heavy construction equipment.
  • Preferred: Valid CDL driver's license with a current health card.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hydraulic, electrical, gas, and diesel systems is necessary.
  • Technical proficiency with equipment and tools is required.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Self-motivated individual.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary.
