KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Aviation Education Specialist will provide expert instruction to students in accordance with an established course syllabus, ensuring that educational outcomes meet the defined objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrating expertise in current aviation practices.
  • Complying with FAA regulations applicable to educational institutions.
  • Welcoming constructive feedback and participating in internal evaluations of teaching methodologies.
  • Effectively managing multiple tasks and adhering to deadlines.
  • Engaging students through diverse instructional strategies.
  • Implementing appropriate assessment and grading practices.
  • Exhibiting strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Overseeing students' utilization of resources and equipment.
  • Providing guidance and support to students while maintaining accurate records.
  • Participating in required meetings and upholding institutional standards.
  • Ensuring adherence to FAA standards for accredited programs.
  • Assisting with student recruitment and career placement initiatives as necessary.
  • Engaging in committee work and maintaining professional development as required.
  • Following institutional policies and regulations.
  • Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should possess an Associate's degree from an accredited institution AND have a minimum of one year of relevant experience in an educational or professional environment. A & P certification along with 1-3 years of experience as an A & P mechanic is essential.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference will be given to candidates who exceed the minimum qualifications by holding a Bachelor's degree or higher, possessing three or more years of related experience, and having two or more years of teaching experience. Additional skills such as quick decision-making, excellent customer service, and technological proficiency will also be advantageous.
