Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Associate to join our team at DTE Vantage, a subsidiary of DTE Energy Company. As a key member of our Business Development group, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and executing energy-related transactions and strategies. This is a rotational development program that will provide you with the opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment, develop your skills in valuation, problem-solving, and communication, and transition into new positions based on your interests and company needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed financial models and analysis for energy-related transactions, including cash flow, net present value, income statement, and balance sheet analyses.
- Provide commercial support on transactions, working with lawyers and bankers to ensure successful execution.
- Develop presentations and present to management on analysis results, effectively communicating complex data to stakeholders.
- Conduct strategic analysis on key business issues and potential market opportunities, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned, including working independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
- Currently pursuing or possess an MBA or other advanced degree in a related field from a top-tier school.
- 3-4 years of progressive work experience in a related field, preferably in finance, strategy, or business development.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to analyze and communicate complex transactions.
- A high level of integrity, confidence, intellectual curiosity, and initiative-taking.
- A combination of analytical aptitude and understanding of strategic business issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
The physical demands of this job include occasional standing or walking, frequent sitting, and repetitive motion associated with data entry and computer use. The work environment is primarily a work-from-home capacity with periodic visits to a climate-controlled office environment.
