Position Overview

As a Staff Auditor at DTE, you will play a crucial role in the assessment and evaluation of our IT systems. Your responsibilities will include the planning, execution, and reporting of independent IT audits. You will be tasked with conducting regulatory compliance testing, including Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and managing the technology systems integral to the audit process. Your analytical skills will be essential in identifying trends and issues within our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employ data analysis techniques to enhance audit effectiveness
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve internal control processes
  • Stay informed on current technology standards and advancements
  • Present findings and recommendations from audits
  • Oversee the administration of technology systems during audits
  • Work in partnership with internal and external teams throughout the audit process
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with at least 5 years of experience in IT
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CISSP are preferred or must be obtained within two years of employment
Additional Skills

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, organizational skills, and effective communication. Familiarity with IT processes, emerging technologies, and adaptability to new technological environments are essential. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, manage small projects, and maintain confidentiality is required. Proficiency in computer applications and a valid driver's license are also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in business operations systems, cybersecurity, network/database engineering, and regulatory compliance is advantageous. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields, along with formal training in continuous improvement methodologies, is desirable.
