Job Overview:

The Auditor role involves conducting independent financial and operational assessments to ensure effective controls are in place and that business goals are being achieved. This position also entails performing substantive audits to verify that financial statements are accurate and compliant with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and occasionally lead straightforward financial and operational audits while evaluating associated risks within company systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and assess business risks related to uncomplicated subjects.
  • Gather relevant data, organize materials, utilize sampling methods and analytical tools, and conduct thorough analyses of existing conditions, providing suitable recommendations for straightforward audits. Assist the Auditor-In-Charge with more complex audits or consulting tasks.
  • Draft and present audit reports detailing scope, objectives, conclusions, findings, and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders. Conduct supervised review meetings to ensure compliance with departmental and professional standards.
  • Conduct uncomplicated special investigations and apply specialized auditing principles with limited oversight.
  • Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements by performing internal controls testing to evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of controls.
  • Contribute to audit management in the formulation of the Annual Risk Assessment and Audit Plan.
  • Safeguard confidential client information.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A degree in another field may be acceptable with relevant professional experience.
  • Typically requires two years of professional experience in internal and external auditing.
Additional Qualifications:
  • CIA, CPA, CMA, or CISA certification must be obtained within two years.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to enhance processes, mitigate risks, and add value to various operations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with clients under supervision when necessary.
  • Familiarity with the company's regulated and unregulated operational processes, such as Finance, Accounting, Customer Billing, and Payroll. Knowledge of similar processes in other organizations is also acceptable.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office products.
  • Demonstrated capability in Project Management techniques and tools.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet company driving standards.
  • Willingness to travel outside the service area.
