Job Summary:
The Staff Auditor will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing independent audits of information technology systems. This role includes conducting regulatory controls testing, such as Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and coordinating the administration of technology systems utilized in the audit process. The auditor will perform data analysis to identify patterns and resolve system issues while providing guidance and expertise to team members. This position operates with minimal supervision, allowing for independent completion of assignments under the general direction of more experienced auditors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute comprehensive information technology audits.
  • Conduct Sarbanes-Oxley controls testing and other necessary regulatory assessments.
  • Ensure documentation supports conclusions and adheres to required standards.
  • Accumulate relevant data, organize materials, and utilize sampling techniques along with software analysis tools.
  • Collaborate with clients to offer insights on internal control structures, information security, and process efficiencies.
  • Stay informed on technology trends and standards to ensure effective controls are in place.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on audit results at various organizational levels.
  • Coordinate the administration of information technology systems.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams throughout the audit process.
Minimum Education & Experience:
This position requires one of the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in information technology audit or compliance.
- An Associate's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 5 years of experience in information technology audit or compliance.

Additionally, candidates should possess or be working towards certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or a similar professional credential.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with business operations systems, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or accounting information systems.
  • Formal training in continuous improvement methodologies.
