Assistant Professor in Vascular Biology

Position Overview
The Vascular Biology Center at Augusta University is on the lookout for exceptional candidates with a strong background in vascular aging, vascular dementia, and the vascular factors contributing to cognitive impairments. This role is part of a twelve-month tenure-track faculty position within the Transdisciplinary Research Initiative in Inflammaging and Brain Aging (TRIBA).
About the Center
The Vascular Biology Center is home to 21 tenured and tenure-track core faculty members, supported by a team of research faculty, pre- and post-doctoral fellows, and research technicians. Our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities span over 20,000 square feet, providing an excellent environment for collaborative research.
Research Opportunities
Successful candidates will engage in research aligned with the TRIBA initiative and other funded projects. We seek individuals with strong communication skills and research interests in vascular biology, aging, and inflammation as they relate to various conditions, including brain, eye, cardiac, pulmonary, and metabolic diseases. Candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level should possess established NIH-funded research programs.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Augusta University offers highly competitive salaries and attractive start-up packages.
