Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Pharmaceutical Automation Engineer to join our team at Pharmatek Consulting Inc.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in Indianapolis, IN, offering an annual base salary of $126,000 plus benefits.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for troubleshooting during the commissioning and qualification phase of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. This will include performing and/or supporting the execution of commissioning and qualification testing on the equipment, as well as providing technical support for integration with site automation systems and other ancillary equipment.

The engineer will also be responsible for performing source code review and management for associated manufacturing equipment, updating technical design documentation, and supporting site engineering initiatives, including training and development of site staff.

In addition, the Senior Pharmaceutical Automation Engineer will serve as a key resource to support site engineering groups, communicate continuous improvement solutions to respective GR platform stewards, and provide hands-on support for troubleshooting issues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical parenteral manufacturing. A minimum of three years' experience working with automated equipment, including vision systems, high-speed mechanical assembly lines, Fanuc robotics, and programming Rockwell PLC, FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA systems is required.

You should have hands-on experience with mechanical assembly machines, pneumatics, instrumentation, electrical drawings, and experience working with vendors/OEM personnel. Strong communication skills, including the ability to attend remote meetings and escalate issues cross-functionally, are essential.
