Job Description

The Automation Solutions Developer will provide direct coordination and integrated automation support within the Global Robotics Asset Portfolio. This role requires delivering outputs to various sites in Indianapolis, Raleigh Durham NC, Concord NC, Alzey Germany, and potentially other future sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Highly versed in Allen Bradley Rockwell Controls, including Studio5000 and FactoryTalk SE applications.
  • Experience with Fanuc Robotic systems is desired but not required.
  • Commissioning and Qualification, asset delivery, validation activities, and cGMP regulations expertise are essential.
  • Delivering and troubleshooting automated applications within the pharmaceutical industry is a must.
  • Collaboration with client Platform owner and Robotic application integration to troubleshoot, shakedown, and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Troubleshooting system issues found during production and identifying and implementing solutions.
  • Evaluating production metrics and historian data to identify issues, recommend improvements, and help implement them.
  • Able to travel to client production sites up to 25%+ (1-2 weeks per month as needed by the project).
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer (pharmaceutical environment experience highly preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency using PC and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Outgoing personality with strong ability to communicate effectively with peers in clear, concise terms.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • GMP/Validation practices.
  • Intermediate skills with WORD (authoring/editing large technical documents with styles, tables, TOCs, track changes).
  • Basic skills with EXCEL and PowerPoint.
