About the Role

Seattle Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Consumer Loan Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our lending team, you will be responsible for originating loans and building strong relationships with our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate loans and communicate decisions to members on consumer loan applications, including auto, boat, RV, personal loans, and credit cards.
  • Build strong rapport and relationships with current and potential members.
  • Engage a variety of audiences through clear and effective communications.
  • Effectively prioritize multiple assignments on a consistent basis within expected timeframes.
  • Clear understanding of credit reports and able to generate cross-selling opportunities to meet member needs.
  • Meet or exceed individual monthly loan production and ancillary product goals; contribute to team and organization-wide goals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a financial institution or experience originating loans.
  • Knowledge of lending systems and originations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years (3+) or more of financial institution experience.
  • 1 year (1+) or more experience originating and/or processing consumer loan applications.
  • Written and spoken fluency in Spanish.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of consumer lending.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the process for automobile purchases.
Working Conditions
  • This is a hybrid role with work primarily performed remotely in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.
  • Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
  • The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Scheduled for Saturday hours on a rotating basis.
