Job Summary

As a key member of the Northwest Credit Union Association team, the Senior Consumer Lending Manager will be responsible for leading the Consumer Lending department, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in consumer lending, underwriting, and sales/production.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
• Lead a team of consumer lending personnel, including loan origination, sales, underwriting, and funding.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Analyze data and metrics to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
• 5+ years of experience in consumer lending, with a focus on underwriting and sales/production.
• 3+ years of experience in a people management role.
• 2+ years of experience in a consumer underwriting capacity.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations and consumer lending underwriting requirements.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Proficiency in lending operating systems (LOS) and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Temenos (Akcelerant) and Fiserv/DNA.
• Stand-out people leadership skills, with experience in training and development.

Working Conditions

This is a hybrid role, with work performed remotely and in an office environment. The successful candidate will be required to attend special meetings and seminars, and may be required to work extended hours to meet business needs.
