Key Responsibilities
  • Originate loans and communicate decisions to members on consumer loan applications, including auto, boat, RV, personal loans, and credit cards.
  • Build strong relationships with current and potential members through clear and effective communication.
  • Engage diverse audiences and prioritize multiple assignments within expected timeframes.
  • Utilize credit reports to generate cross-selling opportunities and meet member needs.
  • Meet or exceed individual monthly loan production and ancillary product goals, contributing to team and organizational objectives.
  • Partner with the processing team and branches to ensure seamless loan closing experiences.
  • Adapt to changing conditions and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide exceptional member service experiences and address issues effectively.
  • Stay informed of compliance requirements, training, policies, and procedures relevant to consumer lending.
  • Embodies Seattle Credit Union values and promotes a positive team culture.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a financial institution or loan origination.
  • Knowledge of lending systems and originations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of financial institution experience.
  • 1+ year of experience originating and/or processing consumer loan applications.
  • Written and spoken fluency in Spanish.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of consumer lending and automobile purchases.
Working Conditions
  • This is a hybrid role with work primarily performed remotely in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.
  • Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
  • The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Scheduled for Saturday hours on a rotating basis.
