Job Overview

Position Summary

The Corporate Events Strategist is tasked with the comprehensive management of both internal and external high-profile events, including our flagship annual conference. This role requires the ability to cultivate relationships with vendors and agencies, coordinate various program management activities, and create outstanding event experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational capabilities, innovative thinking, and a collaborative spirit across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute detailed event strategies for corporate gatherings that align with organizational objectives, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, agency collaboration, and the design of on-site experiences for both internal and external events.
  • Manage the overall project with cross-departmental teams, ensuring adherence to timelines and schedules for successful event execution.
  • Handle agency relationships, defining project scope, overseeing budgets, conducting regular check-ins, and addressing escalations as necessary.
  • Gather and evaluate data to generate post-event reports, assessing event success and providing actionable insights for future improvements in planning, marketing, and overall impact.
  • Administer the core program budget, ensuring resource optimization and cost-effectiveness while collaborating closely with Finance and Procurement teams.
  • Identify potential risks and devise contingency plans to address any challenges that may arise during events.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, particularly with corporate events. Experience with large-scale events hosting over 1,500 participants is preferred.
  • A strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships while managing events of various sizes.
  • Experience in planning global events across multiple regions is advantageous.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex and tight timelines.
  • A customer-centric mindset, always prioritizing the attendee experience in event planning and execution.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • A proven track record of managing and reporting on event metrics and ROI, utilizing data to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
  • Willingness to travel for global events as required, up to 20% of the time.
