Job Overview

Position Summary

The Senior Events Strategist is tasked with directing the planning, execution, and assessment of significant internal and external gatherings, including our premier annual conference. This position requires managing partnerships with agencies and vendors, coordinating program management tasks, and crafting outstanding event experiences. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational abilities, creativity, and a collaborative spirit across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute detailed event strategies for corporate functions that align with organizational objectives, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Oversee event organization, venue selection, agency collaboration, and on-site experience design for both internal and external events.
  • Manage the overall project with cross-departmental teams, ensuring timelines and schedules are adhered to for successful event execution.
  • Handle agency relationships, including defining project scope, budget management, regular check-ins, and addressing escalations as necessary.
  • Gather and analyze data to produce post-event reports, evaluating event success and offering suggestions for enhancements in the planning process, marketing, and overall event effectiveness.
  • Administer the core program budget, ensuring cost efficiency and resource optimization, in close partnership with Finance and Procurement teams.
  • Identify potential challenges and devise contingency plans to address any issues that may occur during events.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, particularly in corporate settings. Experience with events hosting over 1,500 participants is preferred.
  • A strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships while managing events of various scales.
  • Experience in planning global events across multiple regions is preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the capability to manage complex and tight deadlines.
  • A customer-focused mindset, always prioritizing the attendee experience during event planning and execution.
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically, coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A proven track record of managing and reporting on event metrics and ROI, with experience utilizing data to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.
  • Willingness to travel for global events as required, up to 20% of the time.

In this role, you will primarily work remotely with the support of a dynamic and supportive team. The annualized base salary range for this position is $95,000.00-$143,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonuses, benefits, or related incentives. The final offer will be based on job-related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors.
