As a Legal Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for all internal legal requests, partner with outside legal counsel to resolve issues and manage the contract review process from beginning to end.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide feedback for all MSA's, SOW's, I/O's, NDA's and any type of contract.
  • Manage the utilization of external counsel and use as-needed
  • Act as the direct correspondence between Goodway's outside legal counsel and internal employees.
  • Manage the contracting process from in-take to execution. Drive legal efficiency by leveraging the right resources for the right matters, including using external counsel, and technology or service providers as appropriate.
  • Continuously look for ways to reduce overall legal expenses by effectively managing the partnership and enforcing processes and policies to manage outside counsel usage and spend.
  • Respond to internal Legal requests and research legal inquiries to respond accordingly.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment with legal and work collaboratively across the company to determine, document, and communicate best practices and benchmarks for process standards.
  • Develop workflows, and processes to ensure the company follows all applicable regulations, follows appropriate procedures, and streamlines how we function.
  • Monitor the external environment and industry for risks and legislative changes that may affect Goodway or our clients
  • Maintain and organize contracts and legal documents, legal FAQs, templates, contract clause database, and training library.

Qualifications:

  • Must have the proper legal knowledge with at least a Juris Doctorate, Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in a technical discipline.
  • Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.
  • Must 3-5 years of having full ownership of projects or processes critical to the organization.
  • Experience in the advertising/marketing space is a huge plus.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates the ability to envision the broader organizational landscape and has the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate with external partners and legal counsel.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Must possess "when no one's looking" integrity and be an individual with a high level of ethics and character.
