Job Overview

Position Summary

The Senior Events Strategist is tasked with leading the design, execution, and assessment of significant internal and external gatherings, including our premier annual conference. This role requires the management of relationships with external partners and vendors, overseeing program management tasks, and crafting outstanding event experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, innovative thinking, and a collaborative spirit across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute detailed event strategies for corporate functions that align with organizational objectives, budgetary constraints, and timelines.
  • Oversee event logistics, venue selection, vendor coordination, and on-site experience design for both internal and external gatherings.
  • Manage overall project timelines and schedules with cross-departmental teams to ensure successful event execution.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including defining project scope, managing budgets, conducting regular check-ins, and addressing any escalations as necessary.
  • Gather and analyze data to produce post-event evaluations, measuring event success and offering insights for future enhancements in event planning, marketing, and overall impact.
  • Administer the core program budget, ensuring cost efficiency and resource optimization, in collaboration with Finance and Procurement teams.
  • Identify potential challenges and develop contingency strategies to address any issues that may arise during events.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, particularly in corporate settings. Experience in organizing events with over 1,500 participants is preferred.
  • A strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships while managing events of various scales.
  • Experience in planning international events across multiple regions is advantageous.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to manage complex and tight deadlines.
  • A customer-focused mindset, always prioritizing the attendee experience during event planning and execution.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically, demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • A history of managing and reporting on event metrics and return on investment, utilizing data to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
  • Willingness to travel for global events as required, up to 20% of the time.

This role offers the opportunity to work primarily remotely while being supported by a dynamic and caring team. The US annualized base salary range for this position is $95,000.00-$143,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonuses, benefits, or related incentives. The final offer will be based on job-related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors.
