Position Summary:
The Field Sales Manager (FSM) acts as a primary Sales representative within the designated territory. Under the guidance of the Green House Region Marketing Manager (RMM), the FSM is responsible for generating profitable brand volume by expanding outlet distribution, executing key sales strategies, enhancing brand visibility, and securing advantageous merchandising positions within major accounts. This role focuses on cultivating account relationships that drive product velocity through engagement, brand loyalty, and education for both consumers and key account personnel. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, and professionalism in all communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Local & Key Account Development (60%):
- Establish New Points of Distribution (PODs) and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.
- Enhance existing brand visibility and secure superior representation compared to competitors.
- Ensure compliance with merchandising standards across local and key accounts, including the application of promotional materials and display construction.
- Identify consumer sampling opportunities to support local accounts and collaborate with the field marketing team for execution.
Account Relationship Management (20%):
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies in collaboration with the bottler, based on local market insights.
- Build and maintain strong retailer relationships.
- Address retailer inquiries, concerns, or feedback regarding the brand.
- Collaborate with the Coca-Cola team to design and implement incentive programs aimed at boosting brand loyalty and sales performance.
- Assist with product deliveries as necessary.
- Regularly monitor inventory levels and review brand performance with the core leadership team.
Bottler Advocacy (10%):
- Oversee Coca-Cola Bottler incentive programs related to the brand.
- Participate in and lead General Sales Meetings (GSMs).
- Schedule and engage in market visits and ride-alongs.
- Establish consistent communication with relevant Coca-Cola Bottler stakeholders.
Administrative Duties (10%):
- Achieve sales objectives with regular tracking and reporting.
- Submit all required documentation promptly to designated stakeholders.
- Utilize the Green House CRM system to log account interactions and KPI activities in real-time.
- Conduct ongoing SWOT analyses of business operations and provide recommendations during reporting intervals.
- Gather and synthesize retailer feedback on Coca-Cola and relay it to the brand team.
- Maintain open communication regarding marketing initiatives, execution opportunities, and new market innovations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in CPG/beverage sales or distribution.
- Proven experience in managing a sales team.
- Strong customer service capabilities.
- Solid brand marketing and negotiation skills.
- Adept at networking and engaging with diverse groups.
- Exceptional communication and public speaking abilities.
- Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with all team members.
- Passionate and enthusiastic brand representation.
- Strong business acumen, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Results-oriented and customer-focused approach with a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate outlet and bottler needs.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to travel within the designated market area.
- Preference for candidates willing to travel out of state.
