KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Fire Safety Technician, your role will encompass a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

  1. Possessing a thorough understanding of fire alarm regulations and standards, with NICET II or NICET III certification being advantageous. Equivalent experience will be acknowledged, provided the individual pursues NICET alarms education/certification.
  2. Utilizing fire alarm programming software effectively.
  3. Handling equipment and materials weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  4. Engaging in physical activities such as reaching overhead, standing, stooping, bending, climbing, and crawling in diverse work environments, including elevated heights and confined spaces.
  5. Working in conditions that may involve exposure to dust, temperature variations, and noise.
  6. Coordinating effectively between field teams and design departments to ensure project completion within specified timelines and scopes.
  7. Conducting testing and maintenance on fire alarm systems and documenting the programming of these systems as required.
  8. Communicating professionally with clients, both in person and in writing.
  9. Participating in training sessions or seminars to remain updated on the latest technologies, codes, and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are essential:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; a degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required; NICET II or III certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and alarm panel programming.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and present information clearly.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including lifting, climbing, and using ladders or scaffolds.
