Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to oversee and coordinate all maintenance-related tasks within our facilities at Actek Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all fire, safety, environmental, and health regulations.
  • Reduce equipment downtime through effective implementation of preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and operational issues on production equipment, planning and executing corrective measures to sustain optimal production and quality levels.
  • Perform necessary repairs on office spaces and surrounding grounds.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate maintenance documentation.
  • Adopt and promote good housekeeping practices to maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Source spare parts and supplies while considering quality, service, and equipment specifications to secure the best pricing.
  • Engage actively in regular maintenance discussions with the Production Manager and supervisory staff.
  • Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic familiarity with electrical systems and CNC machinery.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Proficient fabrication and welding skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Fundamental math skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a capacity to engage with all levels of staff.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and maneuver as necessary to clean and service machinery.
  • Must possess the ability to visually inspect equipment.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
