Patient Services Representative Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative Senior to join our team at INTEGRIS Health Medical Group Baptist Women's Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the integrity of clinic data and patient information.
Responsibilities- Enter daily charges accurately and balance end-of-day business transactions
- Make appointments for visits and inform clinical employees or providers of emergencies
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Accurately enter patient demographics into the practice management system
- Complete outgoing referrals and assist in training new employees
- Contact third-party payers for benefit and pre-certification information
- Collect checks and cash for co-pays and deductibles, and make financial arrangements with guarantors
- Perform financial counseling to patients and families regarding ambulatory care billing processes and procedures
- Work directly with clinical staff to ensure proper patient placement
- Perform check-in and out duties accurately and timely
- Take messages when answering the telephone, using two patient identifiers according to National Patient Safety Goals
- Manage large call volumes while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
- Organize workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
- 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, including both interpersonal and telephone customer service
- Experience in cashier procedures, basic accounting, clinic check-in/out procedures, basic health insurance, HMO, PPO, and basic medical terminology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to handle high volumes of telephone calls and patient interaction
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment and handle multiple tasks
