Senior Patient Services Representative

OU Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Patient Services Representative to join our team in the OB/GYN Clinic. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate clinic operations
- Provide information about clinic operations and procedures
- Obtain and update patient demographics, insurance information, and medical records
- Answer phone calls and direct patients to the appropriate staff member
- Prepare and enter healthcare providers' schedules into the computer
- Coordinate schedules for patients requiring multiple services
- Check in and check out patients, accept payments, and prepare encounter forms
- Code procedures and diagnoses, and ensure resident and faculty signatures on encounter forms
- Prepare and distribute ancillary forms, and print and fax physician schedules
- Filing and organization of patient charts, and maintenance of log of charts in storage
- Referrals and authorizations, including verifying insurance eligibility and primary care physicians
- Communicate with patients, staff, and external parties in a professional and courteous manner
- 1.5 years of experience in customer service, including at least 6 months in a clinical environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
