Project Engineer Job Description

Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Northeast Municipal Engineering Services Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering drinking water system improvement projects, including treatment, storage, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare calculations, layouts, modeling, estimates, drawings, and specifications under the direction of senior engineers and project managers.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and bids.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead and guide junior engineers and CADD teammates.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits.
Requirements:
  • BSCE or BSChemE degree.
  • Current PE license in NH, ME, or ability to test for PE within one year.
  • 4-9 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in two or more: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydro-CAD, ArcView, MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ME or MS with drinking water treatment and/or water chemistry coursework.
  • Exposure to public drinking water quality and treatment projects and technologies.
  • Proficiency with distribution system hydraulic modeling.
  • Active participation in drinking water association committee(s).
