About the Role

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting functions related to construction management in the electrical construction industry. This role involves working on projects that may include federal, state, and municipal clients across the United States. The Project Engineer assists senior project management professionals with plan preparation, applicable specifications, and general project support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret construction drawings and assist with plan review and specification preparation
  • Prepare a checklist of contract features requiring periodic attention and ensure sub-contractor submissions are approved prior to work commencement
  • Assist with cost estimates and project scheduling as needed, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safety requirements
  • Inspect equipment, materials, and workmanship, checking progress and observing work to ensure procedures are followed and materials conform to specifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including regular and predictable attendance
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in commercial electrical operations or general construction experience. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

You will possess strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read blueprints and drawings, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera at an intermediate or higher level is also required.
