Job Summary

The Executive Chef of Sawmill Creek Resort serves as the primary culinary leader for all Food and Beverage operations at the resort. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the culinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and beverage products that meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage to develop and implement menus that are aligned with the resort's brand and culinary vision.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food and beverage operations are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and that high standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times.
  • Team Management: Supervise and evaluate the performance of Executive Sous Chefs, Sous Chefs, and Kitchen Managers, and develop and implement training programs to ensure that all team members have the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Cost Control: Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage to develop and implement cost control measures that ensure the profitability of food and beverage operations.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all food and beverage operations are aligned with the resort's guest satisfaction goals, and that all team members are empowered to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an executive chef role.
  • Certifications: ServSafe Manager and ServSafe Alcohol certifications.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
