Position Overview

As the Senior Power Marketing Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial Strategy team by assessing project acquisition opportunities and developing market strategies for renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs) across North America. Your focus will be on fostering new and enhancing existing relationships with commercial and industrial (C&I) customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • PPA Negotiation: Spearhead the negotiation of terms and conditions for renewable energy PPAs, including term sheets and exclusivity agreements, while driving transactions to closure.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with both existing and prospective customers across various C&I segments. Identify opportunities for bilateral transactions and stay informed about renewable energy trends in the U.S. and globally.
  • Proposal Development: Analyze requests for proposals, lead the preparation of bids, conduct competitive analyses, and manage participation in procurement processes. Align available projects with customer requirements and create proposal materials for negotiations.
  • Internal Approvals: Prepare internal documentation for PPA approvals and collaborate with various internal teams to ensure a seamless sales process from initiation to closure.
  • Strategic Growth Support: Gather customer feedback on energy products and project locations, sharing insights with development and management teams to inform future growth strategies.
  • Public Representation: Act as a representative for ENGIE at national renewable energy events, engaging as a speaker or panelist.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy sector, including at least three years in power origination.
  • Proven track record in securing long-term power sale agreements in the clean energy sector.
  • Strong negotiation and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. electric energy markets and corporate renewable energy demand.
  • Familiarity with Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) operations and renewable energy technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a large organization.
Additional Information
  • This position follows a hybrid work model.
  • Travel may be required up to 35% of the time.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $128,400 - $196,765 USD annually.
