Overview:
As a Senior Power Marketing Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in the Commercial Strategy team, focusing on the assessment of project acquisition opportunities and the formulation of market strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to originate renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs) across North America by fostering new and enhancing existing commercial and industrial (C&I) customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
PPA Negotiation:
Take the lead in negotiating the terms and conditions of renewable energy PPAs, term sheets, and exclusivity agreements, while driving PPA transactions to successful closure both internally and externally.
Customer Relationship Management:
Proactively manage and cultivate relationships with both existing and prospective customers across various C&I segments throughout North America. Identify opportunities and deal structures that facilitate bilateral transactions with C&I customers, while staying informed about renewable energy trends and opportunities.
Proposal Development:
Assess requests for proposals, spearhead bid preparation, conduct competitive analyses, and oversee participation in procurement processes. Align available projects in the development pipeline with customer requirements and create proposal and presentation materials for the negotiation phase.
Internal PPA Coordination:
Draft internal approval documents and review PPAs with relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with ENGIE's renewable project development and delivery teams, ensuring alignment across various business lines.
Growth Strategy Enhancement:
Gather customer insights and feedback regarding energy products, project locations, and evolving PPA terms to inform the future growth trajectory of ENGIE's renewable business in North America.
Public Representation:
Act as a representative for ENGIE at national renewable energy events, participating as a speaker or panelist to share insights and promote ENGIE's initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy sector, including at least 3 years in power origination.
- Proven track record in securing long-term power sale agreements within the clean energy sector.
- Strong negotiation, coordination, and execution skills for PPAs, working effectively with both internal and external advisors.
- Familiarity with U.S. electric energy markets and corporate renewable energy demand.
