Position Title: Assistant Manager
Reports To: District Manager & Store Manager
Compensation: $18.75 Hourly, Based on Experience + Bonus & Incentives
On-Demand Pay: Access your earnings as you work.
Work Schedule: Full Time + Benefits (Up to 40 hrs/week)
Role PurposeThe Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager with daily retail operations. This position is essential in providing guidance and encouragement to the sales team while fostering a culture of ownership and pride. Success in this role is achieved through professionalism, friendliness, enthusiasm, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager will utilize skills in customer service, product expertise, communication, time management, and sales to ensure each guest has a high-quality experience. Additionally, maintaining the store's appearance to meet company standards and completing assigned tasks is a key responsibility.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in retail customer service
- Proficiency in computer systems (PC environment)
- Ability to be bonded and maintain insurance coverage
- Access to reliable transportation
- Compliance with licensing requirements where applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in retail customer service
- 2 years of experience in retail management
- Greet and acknowledge every guest sincerely
- Offer assistance proactively to every guest
- Organize product displays to attract customer interest
- Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the store
- Identify opportunities to upsell and enhance the customer experience
- Monitor the property to prevent theft and address safety concerns
- Participate in inventory management and cycle counting
- Maintain flexible scheduling availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Provide leadership and training to the sales team
- Meet deadlines for assigned tasks
- Assist in hiring and staffing processes
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on payroll management
- Prepare accurate sales and deposit reports
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with staff and corporate
Assistant Managers will be evaluated based on:
- Achievement of shift goals
- Overall lines per invoice
- Average transaction value
- Store overtime as a percentage of sales
- Inventory adjustments as a percentage of sales
- Quarterly attendance exceeding 97%
This role requires the ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, lift, walk, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks. Assistant Managers must be capable of lifting and handling objects weighing 50 lbs or more safely and may be required to stand for the duration of their shift.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position includes moderate supervisory duties, overseeing the sales and janitorial staff to ensure tasks are completed effectively. Additional responsibilities may involve input on hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
