Beef Shoppe Department Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Beef Shoppe Department Manager to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supervising and ensuring that our bakery department provides exceptional guest service, maintains high-quality products, and meets sales and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and train Beef Shoppe staff to provide excellent guest service and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Ensure accurate and efficient product preparation, receiving, stocking, and sales floor presentation.
- Manage inventory and supplies to maintain optimal levels and minimize waste.
- Operate the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
- Maintain high-quality and freshness of products available for sale.
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met in all areas of the department.
- Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to staff to ensure satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
- Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
- Manage labor budget and ensure optimal hours are scheduled to maximize sales and guest service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail or food service environment, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
- Ability to read and understand information and directions.
- Knowledge of meat and seafood products and operations.
- Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
- Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, including operating a computer.
