**Job Description:** Director of Workforce Development and Labor Relations

We are seeking an experienced Director to lead our workforce development and labor relations efforts at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide critical support to school leadership in developing and implementing human resources strategies that align with our organization's mission and vision.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of human resources principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee engagement, benefits administration, and conflict resolution.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of human resources responsibilities across ISMMS, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and government regulations.
  • Management of internal investigations, collaboration with Legal and Compliance departments.
  • Education and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements for post-doctoral fellows.
  • Development and maintenance of departmental standard operating procedures.
  • Collaboration with leadership to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments.
  • Servicing as HR liaison with department administrators and professional staff regarding ISMMS policies and procedures.

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or combination of education and experience.
  • At least six years of progressive HR Generalist experience, with knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proven track record of relationship building with internal and external customers.
  • Experience with recruitment, sourcing candidates, compensation knowledge, job analysis, general compensation practices, and salary structure design.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to understand business strategy and goals.
  • Demonstrated HR knowledge and experience in a technology organization (strongly preferred).

**Compensation:** The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $261,661.2 Annually.
