Job Overview: The City of New York seeks a highly skilled Evaluations and Workforce Development Coordinator to oversee DYCD's evaluation contracts, focusing on workforce programs addressing barriers to employment. This role involves supporting the design and implementation of evaluation strategies, coordinating communication with external evaluators, and analyzing data to inform program improvement. Additionally, the successful candidate will learn the contracting process and support PPIE Operations contracting activities.

About the Role: As an Evaluations and Workforce Development Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that DYCD's workforce programs are effective and evidence-based. You will work closely with program staff, evaluators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement evaluation plans, collect and analyze data, and provide recommendations for program improvement. Your expertise in research methods, program evaluation, and workforce development will be essential in driving positive outcomes for our clients and communities.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of evaluation plans for DYCD's workforce programs.
  • Coordinate communication with external evaluators, including providing technical assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for program improvement.
  • Learn the contracting process and support PPIE Operations contracting activities.
  • Collaborate with program staff and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of workforce programs.


Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have a master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, public policy, urban planning) and at least two years of experience in a responsible research capacity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office and data analysis software are also required. Appointments are subject to a minimum probationary period of one year.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year.
