SUMMARY: The primary objective of this role is to execute sanitation and cleaning tasks throughout the facility. This position aligns with the Mission and Motto, as well as the Food Safety and Quality Statement of Mennel Milling Company.

WORK SCHEDULE: Shift assignments will vary, with potential for overtime as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To successfully fulfill this role, the individual must be capable of performing each essential duty effectively, with or without accommodations.
  • Adhere to all food safety and personal hygiene regulations, including GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, and the Global Food Safety Initiative, as outlined in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation protocols established by the company as detailed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE). Participation in all mandatory training sessions is required. Maintain the facility in a state of readiness for audits at all times.
  • Operate all equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure cleanliness in all designated areas.
  • Remove flour buildup and vacuum as necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of break rooms, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
  • Dispose of all waste and recycling appropriately.
  • Utilize relevant equipment (such as straight trucks and pallet jacks) as needed.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:

This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The following qualifications are essential for this role:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in plans.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Capable of writing, completing checklists, and other basic documentation. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to colleagues, supervisors, and managers.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:

Competence in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING SKILLS:

Must demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making. Ability to quickly recognize and adapt to changing work duties and circumstances.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands for maintenance tasks, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl, and communicate effectively. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While fulfilling the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to conditions typical of a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including moving equipment and machinery, as well as dusty, hot/humid, and cold conditions. The employee must be prepared to work in all weather conditions, at heights, and in the presence of airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment typically necessitates the use of hearing protection. Work may involve exposure to common wheat allergens.
