POSITION SUMMARY: The primary objective of this role is to execute the sanitation and cleaning processes throughout the facility. This position aligns with the Mission and Motto, as well as the Food Safety and Quality Statement of Mennel Milling Company.

WORK SCHEDULE: Shift assignments will vary, including potential overtime as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To excel in this position, the individual must competently perform each essential duty, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Adhere to all food safety and personal hygiene regulations in accordance with GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, and the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, as outlined in the FS&Q Statement, while following sanitation protocols established by the company as detailed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE). Attend all mandatory training sessions. Maintain the facility in a state of readiness for audits at all times.
  • Operate all equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure cleanliness in all designated areas.
  • Utilize blowers to remove flour buildup and vacuum as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of break rooms, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
  • Regularly empty trash and recycling bins.
  • Operate relevant equipment (such as straight trucks and pallet jacks).
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as required.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The following qualifications are necessary to perform this job effectively:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in plans.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Capable of writing checklists and basic documentation. Proficient in presenting information or data in one-on-one and small group settings to colleagues, supervisors, and managers.

MATH SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Must demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making. Ability to quickly identify and plan for changing work tasks and situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for maintenance tasks, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl, and communicate effectively. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While executing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to conditions typical of a fast-paced manufacturing setting, including moving equipment and machinery, dust, heat/humidity, and cold environments. The employee must be prepared to work in various weather conditions, at heights, and in the presence of airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment often necessitates the use of hearing protection. There is potential exposure to common wheat allergens.
