SUMMARY:
The primary objective of this role is to execute the sanitation and cleaning protocols across the entire facility. This position is essential in upholding the Mission and Motto along with the Food Safety and Quality Statement of Mennel Milling Company.
WORK SHIFT:
Assigned shifts with potential for overtime as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Successfully perform each essential duty with or without accommodation.
Adhere to all food and personal safety regulations, including GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, and the Global Food Safety Initiative, as well as the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as outlined in the FS&Q Statement. Follow sanitation guidelines established by the company as per Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and participate in all mandatory training sessions.
Maintain the facility in a state of readiness for audits on a daily basis.
Ensure safe operation of all equipment.
Keep all designated areas in a clean and orderly condition.
Remove flour accumulation and vacuum as needed.
Ensure cleanliness of break rooms, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
Empty all waste and recycling containers.
Operate relevant equipment such as straight trucks and pallet jacks.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position does not include supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to adapt to changes in plans on short notice.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with all organizational levels.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Capable of writing, completing checklists, and other basic documentation. Proficient in presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Must exercise sound judgment in decision-making. Ability to quickly identify and adapt to changing work duties and events.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical requirements of this position include standing, walking, using hands for maintenance tasks, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, twisting, crouching, or crawling, and effective communication.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more on occasion.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
