Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team at Airgas. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling welding products, industrial gases, and specialty products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to increase sales and revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with our product specialists and VMI technicians to bring value and added resources to our customers.
  • Manage pricing strategies and gross margins of assigned accounts.
  • Schedule joint sales calls with vendors and Airgas product specialists.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two years' experience in industrial sales.
  • At least five years' experience in outside sales.
  • Some experience in handling compressed gases is preferred.
  • Welding product knowledge a plus.
  • Customer service or sales experience in a local market.
  • Proficiency working with personal computer applications such as Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet customer needs and management expectations.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $67,000 to $75,000.
  • A 30% commission bonus plan.
