Position Overview:

At Mortgage Connect, we are dedicated to facilitating home ownership and are currently seeking a Tax Administration Specialist. This essential role is ideal for individuals who thrive in customer-focused environments and enjoy dynamic work settings, as you will be engaging with various agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Tax Administration Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Tax Team Leader to manage all facets of generating precise tax documentation. Your role will involve liaising with external agencies to gather tax certification information, coordinating with accounting to process payments, researching tax and parcel numbers online, and working with internal teams to ensure timely service level agreements (SLAs) are fulfilled while communicating any potential delays to clients.

Research and Reporting Duties:

  • Address tax requests as they appear on the dashboard.
  • Review daily Tax Work In Progress (WIP) and follow up on pending certifications.
  • Provide updates to internal and client contacts regarding estimated timelines for tax processing.
  • Make completed tax sheets accessible to clients.
  • Upload entitlement orders to the relevant platforms.
  • Conduct online or telephonic research for property tax and parcel information.

Tracking and Processing Requests:

  • Oversee and manage all incoming communications to designated inboxes.
  • Print tax certifications, prepare envelopes, and maintain accurate order tracking.
  • Scan and transmit documents via fax.
  • Request payments for tax certifications, No Lien Letters, and other necessary documents.
  • Mail all requests upon receipt of checks.
  • Assign orders as necessary.

Communication and Team Collaboration:

  • Update the Tax Manager database with relevant information.
  • Exhibit leadership within the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Typing/Data Entry skills with a speed of 35 to 50 words per minute and a 95% accuracy rate.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Familiarity with Windows software applications.
  • Knowledge of the real estate sector is preferred.
