The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals in accordance with specified dietary requirements, organizational protocols, and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by community representatives. Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies while maintaining established standards set by the organization’s administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Must have a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles. Compliance with state-specific food handler training requirements is essential.
- Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff effectively.
- Capability to observe proper safety and sanitation practices.
- Willingness to work scheduled hours as per position requirements.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.
- Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
