POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals according to specified dietary requirements, adhering to community protocols and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional tasks may be assigned by community representatives. Compliance with health, sanitation, and infection control standards is essential, as well as maintaining the established practices set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles is required. Must meet ongoing state-specific food handler training requirements.
  • Proficiency in English is necessary, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff.
  • Adherence to proper safety and sanitation practices is crucial.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled hours as required by the position.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.
Experience:
  • Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
  • Part-Time Opportunities Available
  • Required Shift: 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM
