The Opportunity

The VP of Finance will be part of an Executive Leadership Team that exhibits a passionate and collaborative culture and strongly advocates for Child & Family's mission. The successful individual will provide organizational and functional leadership and direction in a complex environment guided by an inclusive spirit and a commitment to providing timely, accurate, high-quality information and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the President and CEO to provide a financial perspective on agency initiatives and drive the Agency's financial strategy.
  • Lead the Agency in financial planning and analysis and will be responsible for all financial processes, including the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range plan.
  • Be flexible, solution-focused, innovative, and interested in seeking new opportunities to grow and build on the Agency's success.
  • Manage and supervise the Finance department staff to ensure processes are followed and work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will bring experience with state, federal, and grant revenue, as well as experience working in a human services or nonprofit organization. A flexible mindset with the ability to pivot as priorities change is essential. The ideal candidate will have a talent for identifying efficiencies and implementing process/policy solutions. Solid technology skills, including pulling informative data utilizing systems, are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is a must. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. An MBA or CPA is preferred.
