The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and verifying the financial processes associated with patient services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greets patients and performs registration check-in functions
- Answers phones and schedules patient appointments
- Obtains referrals and authorizations
- Processes forms and performs discharge process
- Verifies patient financial information and ensures accurate processing
- Completes end-of-day batch and reconciles patient schedule and payments
- Provides clerical support and orients new employees
- Maintains quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Protects patient confidentiality and adheres to established policies
Requirements:
- Two years of experience in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in English language and computer appointment scheduling skills
Work Environment:
Our medical office is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will work with medical office equipment and have direct patient contact. You will be required to walk and stand intermittently throughout the day and may be exposed to electrical and energy hazards.
