Markon is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Intelligence Analyst to enhance our operations.

Each day, our organization plays a crucial role in managing the extensive flow of individuals, capital, and goods that traverse our borders through various means. The intricate nature of both physical and digital crossings necessitates the implementation of business intelligence support services to facilitate effective trade and travel. Furthermore, robust intelligence support and advanced data solutions are essential for ensuring that the movement of people, capital, and goods is lawful, secure, and safe. To address these challenges, Markon seeks a capable and qualified Senior Intelligence Analyst to aid in making mission-critical decisions in response to national security challenges.

The selected candidate will be tasked with applying a comprehensive range of analytical skills to compile data into finalized analyses and reports. This position demands a thorough understanding of intelligence methodologies and a broad perspective on various factors influencing the estimation and forecasting of future scenarios to recommend actionable strategies. The individual may also lead collection and research initiatives, applying insights derived from diverse sources to address various technical challenges and assess their feasibility and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, assess, analyze, and summarize data from designated sources, compiling findings into comprehensive analyses and reports.
  • Review and evaluate extensive volumes of sensitive and intricate intelligence data relevant to our initiatives.
  • Generate analytical reports to categorize available collection resources and recommend optimal alignment of these resources against intelligence deficiencies.
  • Utilize inductive and deductive reasoning with established intelligence techniques to analyze data from multiple sources, developing trends, patterns, profiles, estimates, studies, and tactical information.
  • Develop specialized knowledge in assigned areas by gathering, evaluating, and utilizing classified and unclassified resources, raw data, databases, and intelligence reports.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, applying facts and data to meet organizational requirements; extrapolate and estimate from existing intelligence data.
  • Engage in the development of research initiatives; review and assess the outcomes of these programs until they are fully operational.

Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience are required.
  • Experience in law enforcement or classified intelligence analysis environments is essential.
  • Proven expertise in interpreting large, complex transaction data, with the ability to synthesize information from extensive datasets.
  • Experience in formulating intelligence requirements linked to information gaps.
  • Experience in community and threat identification.
  • Experience presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in writing concise intelligence reports.
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, teamwork orientation, and critical thinking abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with the targeting environment and applications.
  • Prior experience with operational data analysis.
  • Specialization in geopolitical areas such as Russia or China.

Clearance:

  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and capable of obtaining and maintaining the necessary security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasional movement within the office is required to access files and equipment.
  • Regular operation of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
  • Frequent communication with colleagues and management, which may involve delivering presentations, is expected.
