Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct housekeeping and laundry operations for the resort, ensuring exceptional cleanliness standards for guest accommodations and communal areas.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public spaces for cleanliness, maintenance, and order. May also assist in cleaning tasks based on occupancy and staffing levels.
  • Train, inspire, and mentor team members with a supportive and encouraging approach.
  • Implement a consistent cleaning schedule.
  • Submit maintenance requests to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure adherence to operational and safety protocols.
  • Prepare weekly staff schedules.
  • Manage inventories of cleaning supplies and linens.
  • Update room statuses in the management system.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to housekeeping requests from guests or management.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in hotel or resort housekeeping.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse personalities.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning agents and their safe application.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be physically active, with the ability to walk, bend, push, pull, climb stairs, and navigate throughout the resort's expansive grounds.
  • Experience operating a golf cart or similar vehicle.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Flexible availability, including mandatory weekend shifts.
