Position Summary

Interlake Mecalux stands at the forefront of the global warehousing systems sector. Our dynamic and innovative team collaborates closely with clients to deliver optimal solutions tailored to their storage requirements.

We are seeking a Sales Engineer for Industrial Solutions to enhance our sales force, focusing on the Oregon market. This role involves promoting racking and storage systems, primarily within the Portland area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster and maintain relationships by providing ongoing training and updates to dealers, distributors, systems integrators, and end-users regarding our racking solutions.
  • Engage with dealers, distributors, and end-users to nurture existing partnerships, follow up on leads, and secure sales.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, manage sales calls, negotiate orders, and oversee the fulfillment of sales contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to prepare customer quotes.
  • Build long-term partnerships with clients to drive additional sales and facilitate problem-solving discussions.
  • Formulate monthly and weekly sales strategies that encompass prospecting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure the successful completion of customer projects by coordinating engineering, manufacturing, installation, and customer service efforts.
  • Regularly update lead, quote, and order activities in the company's CRM software.
Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the Material Handling Industry.
  • At least one year of experience in a sales role within the industrial sector.
  • A strong technical understanding of products and solutions.
  • Residency within a one-hour driving radius of Portland, OR.
  • An excellent driving record and ownership of a vehicle with appropriate liability coverage.
  • A willingness to travel for business purposes within Oregon, visiting clients 2-4 days per week.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software.
