As a Vice President of Strategic Account Management, you will take on a pivotal role as a senior account leader, overseeing Tier-1 customer accounts within our contract logistics sector. Your responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive account management and sales strategies for these accounts, aiming to expand the company's share of their logistics expenditures while fortifying and enhancing our overall partnerships. You will develop a profound understanding of the businesses we serve at all levels—from operational to strategic—within your assigned customer base, while crafting a vision that motivates clients to leverage GXO's capabilities for transformation. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee global and local account management for a select group of strategic accounts based in your region.
  2. Promote and sell the complete GXO service portfolio to your clients, striving to increase their overall logistics expenditure with us.
  3. Manage all facets of customer accounts concerning logistics solutions.
  4. Ensure the timely and quality execution of customer-facing initiatives.
  5. Comprehend and adeptly navigate the supply chain processes of clients while establishing relationships with stakeholders who influence these processes.
  6. Administer service pricing and margins in accordance with established agreements.
  7. Collaborate with clients globally and partner with GXO personnel worldwide to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
  8. Translate client strategies and priorities into a global pursuit roadmap encapsulated in a strategic account plan that you will own and regularly update, supported by a pipeline of opportunities.
  9. Provide precise timelines and forecasts on pipeline initiatives to inform financial planning.
  10. Monitor market trends, product advancements, and competitor activities; report on market and competitive dynamics.

Qualifications for Success at GXO:

To be considered, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent work or military experience.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the sales of contract logistics and distribution solutions.
  3. Proven experience in logistics sales and sales management, with a track record of sustaining and growing a portfolio of at least $25 million annually.

It would be advantageous if you also possess:

  1. An MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  2. 15 years of experience in contract logistics sales and supply chain processes.
  3. Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire team members and collaborate effectively with integrity.
  5. Capability to represent the company professionally and build robust, sustainable relationships with clients at all organizational levels.
  6. Expert-level analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with the stamina to apply them consistently.
